Underworld Rafting is a very special Cave Rafting Adventure in the Paparoa National Park. Take the rainforest train through primeval rain forest, explore an enormous calcitic cave paradise complete with an abundance of stalactites and stalagmites. Float through incredible Glow-worm lit grottoes and have fun bouncing down the Nile River rapids.
Adventure Caving is full on expedition style caving where you explore an amazing sporty cave complete with abseils ladder climbs, squeezes, & crawls through cascading waterways.
The Charleston Gloworm Cave Tour is a superb eco-cave tour where you travel by the rainforest train through primeval rain forest and explore the enormous Nile River Caves. You walk amidst a pristine ancient “wonderland” of stalactites and stalagmites & “galaxies” of Glow-worms.
The Charleston Nile River Rainforest Train is a short interpretative train ride in open carriages through primeval rain forest in to the magnificent Nile River Canyon. You pass through the film sites for the “The Lost World” film production and have time for a short walk to the Nile River Suspension Bridge.

Buller Adventure Tours, Westport -15 Minutes north
The Buller River is the principal river on the West Coast flowing swiftly from its source Lake Rotoiti at Nelson Lakes westward to the Tasman Sea at Westport. For most of its 169 kilometers the river is contained within steep sided, bush clad gorges creating the most remarkable and spectacular scenery, particularly in the Lower Buller Gorge.
State Highways 63 and 6 follow the river for most of its length and the ever changing light on the densely forested ranges makes the drive through the Lower Buller Gorge, the Gateway to the Northern West Coast,stunning no matter what the weather!
The adventure base is set amongst the virgin native rainforest of the Lower Buller Gorge, with the backdrop of the magnificent Paparoa Mountain Ranges and the impressive Buller River at their doorstep.
